From Atlas Altera

Massachusetts is a state in northeastern America, bordering the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Rhode Island and Connecticut to the south, Wyoming to the west, and Vermont and Nahucksetts to the north. It is the most populous of the six northeastern states, with the capital and largest city, Boston, being the cultural and financial centre of the region.

Massachusetts was the site of some of the earliest English colonies in Septentrea; in Plymouth, southeast of Boston, a group of English settlers established the Plymouth Colony in 1620, while in Boston and Salem was the Massachusetts Bay Colony, founded in 1630. Modern-day Massachusetts, especially in and around Boston, is a well-known hub of American arts and culture, with the area being incredibly diverse, as well as the location many popular sports teams and well-known institutions, including Harvard University in nearby Cambridge.
